Being someone from a different background other than CS, I got to learn nooks and cranny about programming through GetMeHired. The support from the mentors helped me choose my career path and get hired

It's never too late to go after what you really want. For me, it wasn't until I went to an interview towards the end of my Mater's in Industrial Engineering when I realized that this field is just not for me. I finally decided to pursue my long cherished dream in the tech field.

The prerequisite for development is to identify your lacking. I knew the surface knowledge of coding I possess will not be getting me anywhere, that is why I got into GMH. I have worked really hard, invested more than eight hours a day to get as good as possible in coding, listened to the feedback from my mentors, followed their career advice and made myself better in every way possible. Sure, the transition from Industrial Engineering to Computer Science was hard, but I did not let that limit me.

When we hear Software Development, we think it's for the people with a Computer Science background. It's not true. You just need something to get in. No matter what your background is, if you have motivation, willpower, and invest enough time in it, you can conquer this field.

Being a fresh CS undergrad from Penn State University with no experience and a low GPA, I found it really hard to both get interviews and get through interviews. GetMeHired was a crucial part for me in securing multiple offers in the field I wanted (Software Engineering) in about 6 months.

I have been enormously benefited from the courses and mentoring sessions on full-stack web development, machine learning, image processing, DevOps and resume writing. The mentors and coordinators are very dedicated and knowledgeable
