Job Title : Software Engineer Intern, Optimizely
My undergrad was in Computer Science, but to be honest, I wasn't a good programmer back then, nor did I find much interest in coding. I am graduating next fall and until a couple of months ago, I lacked coding skills and hand-on coding experience. All of that changed after joining GMH. My best experience there was getting the real world coding experience in a completely professional environment, working with different frameworks and realizing how fun coding is! I'm borderline addicted to coding challenges now, unbelievable what I've been missing out on all this time.
They didn't just stop with giving the true taste of the Software Engineering world. It expanded to making sure that I was showcasing my skills in the job market in such a manner that I got the best out of the bootcamp. I've learnt how to write resumes like a pro, how to use LinkedIn most effectively to build networks, and how to excel at interviews. Most importantly, I have learnt how to approach problems.
I would highly recommend GMH because they offer professional development along with skill building. They will go all in to make sure you are utilizing your full potential. You can have a really good preparation and still perform badly on interviews, but passing the screening phase of big tech companies and getting called for interviews are something on which GMH keeps working relentlessly, which is, in my opinion, huge.
